Shut Up and Drive
First off, I wish I owned that car in the picture. Believe me when I say that I do not own a car that awesome.
I have everything in order and I will be leaving at the end of the month per what I said in my previous blog. Though I have changed my plan a bit. My test run destination is going to be St. Louis. I already have a room booked for a week, since I am forcing my teenager to tag along. I had planned on making it work out of my car for most days and limiting my time in hotels to necessity. I am looking forward to visiting St. Louis and exploring its touristy attractions. Right before I leave I am going to attempt my first video vlog. I am not making promises. If you knew me, then you would know that I absolutely hate to be in front of the camera, Sadly, if I want to make this blog a success and actually make a living doing something that I love, then I need to suck it up and brace myself for the negativity and backlash being in the public eye will dish out.
Second stop will be to visit my mom in Nebraska. She would like me there for the 4th of July. I am nervous yet excited at the same time. If you have read my earlier entries then you know that I don't know my mother at all, We started out rocky and I took out some of my anger at my past on her. Through all of that, we have managed to talk and get to know each other better. Though doing it long distance is difficult. I am hopeful and yes I will be writing about it.
Third stop is to a long time friend in Colorado. She is super awesome. Her husband is hilarious and her kids entertain her tremendously. I photographed her wedding some years ago and the changes that has come her way since then are extraordinary. I look forward to doing video entries at her house.
Fourth stop Las Vegas. Though I have visited this place before, my son hasn't. Also, the last time I went, I tried to see the Grand Canyon and it was closed due to snow. At that time I had no idea that it could snow in the desert. I was shocked. But I chose Vegas for another reason. I have been playing this silly game on my phone for years and racking up tokens. Now I have 2 weeks worth of free hotel night stays. Not staying that long, but still super excited that I get to do it on the cheap. I also have enough tokens built up to gamble for free and to take in some shows really cheap if I wish. I will also take advantage of the opportunity to visit another friend or two of mine that live in the city that what happens there, stays there.
Fifth stop is debatable. I am hoping to go to Austin, Texas to visit another friend. Everything really depends on if I am still making decent while working in other cities as I go. If all goes well, then I will visit Austin, maybe Dallas and I would like to work my way to California to visit yet another friend.
I am sure I will make some pit stops along the way. Random places that catch my eye or maybe even just googling some crazy world's biggest things. I only have a base plan. The point of not making a detailed plan is to experience life and to get out of a city and house that everywhere I look I see memories of a face that betrayed my loyalty. Each day gets a bit easier, but I want to wake up and not think about the past. Only my future.
On a side note, I have made yet another HUGE decision in my life. Well I shouldn't say it is a decision, I have been dreaming of doing this for a long time. Anyways, I am working on moving to either Curacao or Bonaire. Islands owned by the Dutch off of the coast of Venezuela. I have been doing research and it is affordable and has job opportunities. I just have to learn Dutch. I have already started learning the language and I doing great so far. I am excited at the possibility of living out one of my dreams. I hope you all get the opportunity to visit those lovely islands and to live out your dreams as well. More to write about later. Until next time, Dream On and Dream Big.
